China and Portuguese-speaking countries discuss aviation in Macau in December

Macau, China, 26 Oct – The 2nd Airports Conference of China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries will take place in Macau from December 6 to 8, Liu Suning, executive director of Macau airport management company, CAM, said Thursday in Macau.

The aim, according to Liu, is “exchange of experiences,” on airport operations and to discuss the best ways to develop civil aviation, issues which are of interest to the industry and which can become business and cooperation opportunities.

The conference is expected to welcome over 100 representatives from China, Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, East Timor, Mozambique and Macau.

Since the first edition of the conference, in 2004, 360 air traffic controllers and administrative personnel from Macau and mainland China have been trained in Portugal, as part of a program organized by CAM.

Alongside the conference an exposition of airport and aviation products and services, with the aim of establishing commercial contacts between participants and industry suppliers. (macauhub)
