5 November 2007

Maputo, Mozambique, 5 Nov – The capital of Angola, Luanda, and of Mozambique, Maputo, will in the near future be linked by flight operated by Angola’s air carrier Taag, the Angolan Foreign Relations Minister, João Miranda said in Maputo.

Speaking in Maputo, after the ceremony to sign several cooperation agreements between the governments of Angola and Mozambique, as part of the visit by President José Eduardo dos Santos, Miranda said that a delegation from Taag had recently been in Maputo to discuss the re-opening of the Luanda-Maputo link.

“There is already an agreement in this area, and it only needs to be re-activated,” the minister said, noting that the route would be opened up “soon.” (macauhub)
