Beijing, China, 13 Nov – Air China, China’s largest airline, said Monday that it would launch a daily flight to Macau as of December 7.
A statement issued by Air China said that the airline would use a Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the Beijing-Macau route.
Currently only Hainan Airlines, which is majority private owned, and Air Macau run flights between the Chinese capital and Macau.
Air China also announced that from November 20 it would increase its flights between Beijing and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Air China’s route to Brazil was launched in December 2006 with two flights per week and a stop off in Madrid, Spain.
The flight takes 23 hours and 50 minutes. (macauhub)
