Angola: Government pays loan interest to Paris Club

Luanda, Angola, 30 Nov – The Angolan government in a parliamentary session Wednesday approved payment of late payment interest to Paris Club members.

According to information from the Council of Ministers office “conditions for re-establishing relations between Angola and the international financial community,” are now in place.

This decision, according to the executive director of the Fortis group, will be used to re-launch relations with the Luanda government.

During the ceremony Monday to sign the partnership between Fortis and Banco de Negócios Internacional (BNI) in the Angolan market, Thierry Josz said that after resolving its relationship with the Paris Club, Angola would attract the attention of other large financial groups thanks to the health of its economy and good prospects for the future.
