Lisbon, Portugal, 7 Dec – Portugal’s Orey group said Thursday in Lisbon it would enter the logistics and distribution market in Angola, by managing the fleet and distribution of the Nosso Super supermarket chain, in partnership with Brazilian company Odebrecht.
The new company, called, Orey Super, will also provide services in the area of sourcing and management of logistic flow for the medium-sized supermarket chain, within the scope of the state Program for Restructuring the Logistics and Distribution System of Products Essential to the Population(PRESILD).
“Orey Super will provide the service of technical transport fleet management for the distribution of products to the Nosso Super supermarket chain.” The group said in a statement.
The Nosso Super supermarket chain currently has 10 stores, 15 under construction and a further 6 yet to be built.
The PRESILD program has handed over construction of the entire retail operation to Brazilian group Odebrecht.
Orey, which has been present in Angola since 1991, operates in the shipping, transit, land logistics and distribution sectors. (macauhub)
