Maputo, Mozambique, 12 Dec – The President of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza, Tuesday invested the new Agriculture Minister, Soares Nhaca, whom he called on to lead a “green revolution” in the country.
Nhaca, who was previously deputy Labour Minister, was nominated Monday to replace Erasmo Muhate, who had been in the role since February 27.
At the investiture ceremony, Guebuza said that the government planned to speed up a green revolution in the country in order to combat poverty and create more jobs.
“It is now the new minister’s responsibility to lead the green revolution and ensure the necessary steps for its rapid success,” Guebuza said. (macauhub)
