Angola: Customs revenues expected to total US$2 billion in 2007

13 December 2007

Luanda, Angola, 13 Dec – Revenues of Angola’s National Customs Directorate (DNA) are expected to total US$2 billion this year, the director-general of DNA, Sílvio Burity said in Luanda Wednesday.

Speaking on an Angolan television show, Burity said that the reason behind his optimism on revenue “is based on modernization and introduction of new legislation.”

“This is because of the improved efficiency of our services, but is also due to a very significant increase of the volume of imports,” Burity said, adding that investors have confidence in the economic policies the country has adopted. (macauhub)
