Angola: Germany’s Lufthansa begins Luanda flights in April, 2008

Frankfurt, Germany, 21 Dec – German airline Lufthansa will start flights between Frankfurt and Luanda on 1 April, 2008, the carrier’s vice chairman, Karl-Rudolf Rupprecht, said on Monday.

“With this new service we’ll start to have 15 destinations in Africa,” said Rupprecht, adding that the direct Frankfurt-Luanda flight will be very important for the oil and raw materials industries.

The new link will operate weekly with a 221-seat Airbus 340-300 offering business and tourist classes. It will be inaugurated with a flight from Luanda. (macauhub)
