Angola: Government approves Sonangol investment project

Luanda, Angola, 7 Jan – The Angolan government has approved the private investment project known as “Sonils-Projecto de Expansão” worth a total of over US$143 million, Angolan news agency Angop said Sunday in Luanda.

The project aims to equip the new base of Sonangol Integrated Logistic Services Limitada (Sonils) with all it needs to adapt to the growing needs of the oil sector.

In order to carry the project out, Sonils needs to expand its mooring port, as well as equip the new area of its base with the conditions for its operation in a rational and efficient manner.

The project includes construction of 750m of mooring port. Along the port mooring points, access ladders, buoys and water and fuel supply points will be installed.

Points for loading and unloading of oil products for oil rigs will be set up, as well as a super dock for loading and unloading large ships with rolling bridges and a 500 ton capacity crane. (macauhub)
