Luanda, Angola, 10 Jan – The national road linking the Angolan district of Cacuso and the city of Malanje in northern Angola, is receiving its final layer of asphalt, the manager of Metroeuropa, Leonardo Ribeiro told Angolan news agency Angop.
During an inspection visit, Ribeiro said that, in partnership with the Brafrikon Engenharia company, over 25 kilometers of asphalt have been laid, and a further 42 kilometers are now due to be laid.
The manager of Metroeuropa said that his company had set up an asphalt producing machine in Cacuso with a capacity fo 520 tons per hour.
The road is part of the 230 National road linking the provinces of Quanza Norte and Luanda, and reconstruction work started with the repair of the bridge over the Lucala river and the stretch of road between Lucala (Quanza Norte) and Cacuso (Malanje), which is 56 kilometers long.
Metroeuropa is an engineering company that works in the areas of design, construction and assembly of road and rail bridges, roads, detection and removal of mines, energy, thermal plants, civil protection and fire fighting, and technical assistance amongst others. (macauhub)
