Macau: Rate of inflation totals 5.57 percent in 2007

Macau, China, 21 Jan – The inflation rate in Macau in 2007 totaled 5.57 percent, after a rate of 5.2 percent in 2006, the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau said Monday.

Consumer prices rose due to increases in the categories of Housing and Fuel, Food and non-alcoholic drinks and Miscellaneous products and Services, which rose 9,.55, 8.19 and 3.69 percent, respectively, against 2006.

In December the Consumer Price Index saw a rise of 0.98 percent against November and 7.12 percent year on year. (macauhub)
