Malanje, Angola, 22 Jan – The runway at Malanje airport, in the north of Angola, is to be rebuilt as part of a plan of action by Angolan state airport manager, Enana, at an estimated cost of US$6 million.
For the purpose, Enana signed a contract with Portuguese construction company Tecnovia Angola, with reconstruction work, expected to take 8 months, will focus on repaving the parking area and widening it from 30 to 45 meters.
On the occasion, the acting governor of the province, Gaspar Neto, noted the importance of the project and expressed his concern about the fact that many local people were building their homes in areas surrounding the airport.
The contract was signed by the head of the infrastructure department of Enana, José Luís Coelho and by the manager of Tecnovia, Paulo Solipa. (macauhub)
