Maputo, Mozambique, 23 Jan – Mozambican insurance company Empresa Moçambicana de Seguros (Emose) this year plans to invest US$2 million, most of which on refurbishing infrastructures, work on which has already begun, the company’s financial director, Mário Samboco said Friday in Maputo.
According to Mozambican newspaper Notícias, as well as the activities being carried out in the headquarters, in Maputo, initially the branches at Beira, Nampula and Quelimane will be refurbished, followed by those at Tete, Inhambane and Lichinga.
Samboco, who noted that part of the amount being invested would be applied to innovating the company’s It system, said that Emose had projected growth of 18 percent for 2008.
Samboco made the announcement during the 17th national meeting of managers and staff of the company held between 16 and 18 of January in Maputo.
Previously, it had been reported that the company would invest US$28 million this year, when this figure in fact related to the company’s revenues rather than its investments. (macauhub)
