Zhuhai, China, 27 Feb – Germany’s Bosch group said Tuesday it had invested US$58 million in building a new factory in China to produce equipment for security systems.

The factory is located in Zhuhai, a special economic area next to Macau, and covers an area of 13,656 square meters, making it Bosch Security Systems’ biggest industrial units.

According to Bosch, the Zhuhai factory was built to help the company to produce equipment for the growing markets of China and Asia-Pacific.

Although the new factory is mainly for the production of equipment, Bosch said that it would also have a research and development center with a staff of 50. (macauhub)
