Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 28 Feb – A team of Dutch scientists is expected to travel to Maputo in March for official meetings as part of a project to set up a research and management center for water resources.
According to Mozambican newspaper Notícias, the fact was made public in Amsterdam, as part of a three-day visit by Mozambican President, Armando Guebuza, to the Netherlands at the invitation of Queen Beatrix.
The Netherlands is an average of five meters below sea level but thanks to its experience of managing water resources, has had no problems with flooding.
In order to boost Dutch cooperation and investment in Mozambique, the Dutch minister for Cooperation and Development will visit Mozambique in May to meet with the local authorities, the newspaper added. (macauhub)
