Luanda, Angola, 1 April – A technology park is due to be built in Luanda next to the Agostinho Neto University campus, according to newspaper Jornal de Angola.
The project is to be funded by Spain and will have the technical support of the Asturias region of Spain, in partnership with the Ministry for Science and Technology, and its feasibility study is currently been carried out.
The information was provide at Luanda’s Airport but the deputy minister for Science and Technology, Pedro Teta, on the occasion of a visit by a delegation from Asturias to Angola at the invitation of the Angolan authorities.
The president of the Principality of Asturias, Vicente Alvarez Areces, noted that his visit to Angola planned to strengthen the relations between the Angolan state and the regional government, as well as establishing business partnerships and identifying cooperation projects for possible future investments.
Alvarez Areces noted that Spain was interested in helping in whatever was necessary for the development and consolidation of democracy in Angola. (macauhub)
