Angola: Iran interested in oil exploration in Angola

Tehran, Iran, 15 April – Iran’s national oil and gas company, Petropars, is interested in taking part in oil exploration in Angola, according to the website of Iran’s Oil Ministry.

The Director-General of Petropars, Gholam-Reza Manouchehri said that the national oil company had been looking at several investment opportunities in Africa and that Angola was one of the priorities.

“Next week we are going to look in detail at how we can take part in developing an oil well in Angola,” he said.

Iran is the world’s fourth largest exporter of oil and has the second largest gas reserves in the world after Russia. (macauhub)
