East Timor: Small business entrepreneurs to have access to micro-credit

New York, United States, 21 April – Small business entrepreneurs in East Timor will be given Access to a US$5 million credit line managed by the United Nations and by the Timorese Economy Ministry, the UN said on its website.

Known as Infuse, the credit line will provide funding to entrepreneurs in 13 districts of East Timor that do not have Access to bank loans, in order that they can carry out their small projects and as a way of fighting poverty and unemployment and provide stability to the young Asian nation.

The credit line will be jointly managed by the United Nations Development Programme, the Capital Development Fund of the United Nations and by the Timorese Economy Ministry. (macauhub)
