Angola: German group plans to invest in Uíge province

Uíge, Angola, 20 May – German company Gauff GmbH & Co. Engineering KG – NL Luanda, a subsidiary of civil engineering group Gauff, plans to invest at least 100 million euros in Angola’s Uíge province in agricultural and industrial projects, the company’s chairman said in Uíge.

Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop at the end of a meeting with the provincial governor, Helmut Gauff said he was interested in working with the province’s government to design projects in the agricultural, energy, water, hotel and tourism sectors.

According to Gauff, the investment would serve, in an initial phase, to implement basic infrastructure projects in the energy, water, agriculture and hotel sectors.

Gauff has been working in Angola for the alst two years on inspecting reconstruction work for the Kifangondo (Luanda)/Caxito/Negage and Uíge Mauela do Zombo roads. (macauhub)
