Sao Paulo, Brazil, 22 May – Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, Guangzhou Dayun Motorcycle has started expending its network of dealers across Brazil and by the end of the year plans to finish its factory in Manaus, the company’s marketing director for Brazil told Macauhub.

Alander Duarte said that Dayun, which is headquartered in GUangzhou, would extend its activities in the Brazilian states where it already sells motorcycles, such as Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso and Paraná and planned to expand its activities into other regions of Brazil also.

“The dealers in Mato Grosso will this year increase from eight to 14, in Paraná from two to eight and in Espírito Santos from one to four. All of this because of an incredible increase in requests and interest in the models,” he said.

Duarte said that imports of the motorcycles this year would be 40 percent higher than 2007, totalling 4,000 units by December.

The marketing manager also said that Dayun wanted to finish construction of its factory in Manaus, in the northern Brazilian state of Amazonas, by December. (macauhub)
