Macau: Maputo’s consumer prices rise 8.72 percent year on year in April

Macau, China, 22 May – Price sin Macau in April rose 8.72 percent year on year, the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau said Wednesday in Macau.

According to the Bureau, the rise was driven by significant increases of 18.60, 13.90 and 10.99 percent seen in the categories of Food and non-alcoholic drinks, Health and Transport, respectively.

The rate of inflations totalled 7.05 percent in relation to March of 2008 as prices fell 0.12 percent due to a temporary electricity subsidy of 150 patacas being granted to every family. (macauhub)
