Brazil: Brazilian construction equipment company SH closes new deal with Odebrecht Angola

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 29 May – Brazilian company SH, which specialises in production of moulds for walls, scaffolding and shuttering, amongst other products, this month signed its second export contract with Odebrecht Angola, to the value of 650,000 reais.

In na interview with Macauhub, SH manager, Rildo Salgado, said that Odebrecht Angola has acquired equipment for construction of two deposits in Luanda. The products will be delivered by the end of June.

According to Salgado, this is the second export contract to Angola signed by the company in less than a year.

In the first contract, Odebrecht Angola in November 2007 acquired 1.5 million reais of similar construction equipment for a water gallery in work on the basic sanitation system in Angola.

The SH manager also noted the importance of the partnership with Odebrecht Angola. “As the domestic market is heated and we have an unfavourable exchange rate, SH has seen its exports fall. But Odebrecht is a company that is headquartered in Brazil and is a big customer of ours, which gives us a guarantee.”

SH, which was founded in 1969 and has factories in eight Brazilian states, including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Bahia, as well as having a team of representatives in a further eleven states.

The company started exporting its products in 2004 and sends them to Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Chile, Uruguay and Angola. (macauhub)
