Luanda, Angola, 9 June – The fourth edition of the International Food and Drinks Fair “Alimentícia Angola,” ended Sunday in Luanda with turnover of around US$5 million, according to the organization’s final summary of the event.
According to its organisers, Alimentícia reached its targets, despite expecting more companies to take part as Angola is an attractive market for investment, due to its stable political and economic climate.
“These days we no longer question the potential of the Angolan market, as the country offers favourable conditions, and that is why the business sector focuses on being present at these types of event,” said Bruno Albernaz, director of Arena Direct, the event’s organising company.
He noted, however, that this year the number fo companies taking part had been lower than expected, with just 92 companies, as compared with 130 last year.
The fair was held in a covered area of 10,000 square metres and over four days received 4,000 visitors.
The organisation of the event is the responsibility of Arena Direct in partnership with the Luanda International Fair (FIL). (macauhub)
