Lubango, Angola, 27 June – Angola’s manufacturing industries last year grew 32.6 percent, the country’s industry minister, Joaquim David said Thursday in Lubango, Huíla province.
In the opening session of the Consultive Council of the Ministry for Industry, David said that growth of manufacturing, for the second year running, had been greater than that of the oil sector.
Angolan industry currently employs over 37,000 people.
In 2007, businesses invested at least US$130 million and 108 new industrial projects were set up. (macauhub)
