Luanda, Angola, 15 July – The Luanda International Fair (Filda), Angola’s biggest economic fair, is due to open Tuesday with the participation of 550 companies, 200 of which are Angola and the remaining 350 from 26 different countries.
In this, the 25th, edition of the fair the organisers want to focus on training in all its various specialised areas and the launch of new high technology products, mainly in the construction sector.
The fair will cover an area of 26,000 square metres, as compared with 30,000 last year, as the organisers removed the marquees that were erected in previous fairs in order to allow for ease of movement within the venue.
Countries such as the Philippines, Singapore and Zimbabwe are taking part in Filda for the first time.
In order to mark the fair’s 25th anniversary, its organisers will hold various events including a gala dinner in honour of companies and people that over the years have contributed to the fair being held.
Portugal will take part in Filda with 102 companies and is the “biggest international representation,” at the fair. (macauhub)
