Maputo, Mozambique, 18 Aug – The best Mozambican exporting companies are to be celebrated on Mozambique’s national day at this year’s Maputo International Fair (Facim), to be held from 1 to 7 September, according to Mozambican newspaper, Notícias.
The paper added that prizes would be awarded to 19 companies, including small, medium sized companies as well as so-called mega-projects in the energy, agricultural, wood, fishing and other sectors.
In 2007 prozes were awarded to Mozal and the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric dam project (in teh mega-projects), Mozambique Leaf Tabacco, sugar distributor, Distribuidora Nacional de Açúcar, Pescamar, Bananalândia, Krustamoz, and others to a total of 19 companies.
The 44th Facim Fair will also award prizes to the best national and foreign exhibitors.
So far 15 countries have signed up for the fair, four foreign companies and 109 Mozambican companies. In the Mozambique pavilion 10 provinces will be represented, along with the city of Maputo. (macauhub)
