Lubango, Angola, 26 Aug – Reconstruction work on the stretch of road linking the city of Lubango, the capital of Huíla province, to the municipality of Chibia, in the south of the province, extending over 45 kilometres, carried out by Brazilian company Andrade Gutierrez, has been concluded, Angolan news agency Angop reported.
The stretch of road, which is 11 metres wide, now has horizontal and evrtical signage, as well as crash barriers in dangerous areas.
According to a source from Andrade Gutierrez, which carried out the work, it will be delivered as soon as the other 77 kilometres of road linking Chibia to Gambos have also been concluded. The entire project is estimated to cost US$127 million and is scheduled for completion in April 2009. (macauhub)
