Luanda, Angola, 9 Sept – In 2007 Angola received 194,000 tourists, a rise of 60 percent on the 121,000 tourists that visited in 2006, according to the statistical bulletin of the Ministry for Hotels and Tourism (Minhotur), recently published in Luanda.
The bulletin also said that Europe was the continent that sent most tourists or Angola with a total of 89,000 people, followed by America, with 38,000 visitors.
Other countries in Africa accounted for 33,000 people, Asia for 31,000 and the Middle East for 1,278 tourists.
There are currently 2,349 accommodation units in Angola. (macauhub)
