Manaus, Brazil, 11 Sept – Business meetings, sustainable development, partnerships and public policy to boost strategic sectors of the economy in Amazonia, are part of the Schedule of the 2008 edition of the International Amazonia Fair (Fiam).
The fair, which opened Wednesday and is due to close Saturday, includes delegations from all South American countries and North American representatives.
Europe is represented by delegation from the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, the United Kingdom and France and South Africa, India, China and Japan are also attending.
The event is promoetd by the Brazilian Ministry for Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) through the Superintendency of the Manaus Free Trade Area (Suframa).
In order to take part in Fiam 2008, Sebrae (Agency to support small-scale businesspeople and entrepreneurs in the Amazon) set up a stand covering 108 square metres.(macauhub)
