Luanda, Angola, 11 Sept – Angolan dairy product Lactiangol plans to launch a new brand of milk by the end of September called “Waku”, the company’s chairman, José César Macedo said Wednesday in Luanda.
Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop about the launch of the new product, he said that in the first two weeks, 100,000 litres of milk would be produced.
“Wuaku”, Macedo said, is a product manufactured essentially from Angolan raw materials of high quality.
Angolan milk production remains confined to the area of Wuaku Kungo, in Kwanza Sul province, where the company is carrying out pilot experiments.
“Lactiangol, in August, which is the period of greatest production of natural milk, refurbished its entire electrical system and prepared for the acquisition of two more industrial generators to boost the performance of the existing two,” he said.
The company’s end product, following reconstruction and opening of some national roads, now reaches the provinces of Bengo, Benguela, Huíla, Malanje, Huambo and Kwanza Norte and Kwanza Sul. (macauhub)
