Luanda, Angola, 15 Oct – Angolan state oil company Sonangol Tuesday in Luanda announced the discovery of another oil reserve, designated “Ngoma1” located in the deep waters off Block 15/06, 350 kilometres form Luanda.
Sonangol said that the discovery was made together with Italy’s ENI, which has operated the block since 2006.
According to a Sonangol statement, the reserve was drilled to a depth of 1,348 metres.
Block 15/06, which is a concession of Sonangol EP, is operated by ENI (35 percent), Sonangol (15 percent), SSI Fifteen (20 percent), Falcon Oil (15 percent), Statoil (5 percent) and Petrobras (5 percent). (macauhub)
