Mozambique: Mozambique wins services innovation prize

Maputo, Mozambique, 23 Oct – Mozambique is the second most innovative country in providing services, according to the results of the “AAPAM Award for Innovative Management 2008 promoted by the African Union, according to Mozambican news agency AIM.

The agency reported that Mozambique’s second place was secured by the success of the “Mobile Civil Registration Teams” project carried out by its Justice Ministry.

In 2006 the project benefited over 1 million children across 22 districts, AIM said.

Mozambique put forward two projects for the awards, one from the Ministry for Industry and Trade and the other from the Justice Ministry, the first of which was disqualified. (macauhub)
