Brazil: China’s Henan province signs biofuel technical cooperation deal with Sao Paulo

Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, 4 Nov – Representatives of China’s Henan province are due Tuesday to sign a biofuels technical cooperation deal with the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, according to news agency Estado.

The deal will make it possible for the Cane Centre of the Agronomy Institute, Ribeirão Preto, to exchange information, receive visit and provide training with Chinese researchers.

Professionals from the Agricultural Secretariat will also receive information about biofuels in Henan province, which is one of the largest in China, with a population of some 100 million people. The provincial capital is Zhengzhou.

Sao Paulo’s research into sugar acne has already set up partnerships with other countries, including México, Angola and Mozambique.

The Chinese delegation will be in Sao Paulo until Thursday and is due to visit the Union of Sugar Cane Industries, the IAC, in Campinas, and companies in the Piracicaba region. (macauhub)
