Angola: Construction company meets market demand for aggregates

6 November 2008

Luanda, Angola, 6 Nov – Production at three quarries owned by construction company Costa Blanca is able to meet high market demand for aggregates, company official António Carvalho told Angolan news agency Angop.

Carvalho based his guarantee on the quarries’ production statistics, adding that overall daily production totalled 4,000 cubic metres of aggregate, which exceeds current demand.

The quarries produce sand, gravel, asphalt rock, basalt, granite, limestone and pit-run gravel and Costa Blanca’s main customers are construction companies Odebrecht, Queiróz Galvão and Camargo Corrêa.

Carvalho added that the company carried out its activities in other provinces in the country’s interior, with mobile teams, despite its main base being in Luanda. (macauhub)
