Angola: Repair of Cuito-Menongue road to cost US$100 million

Cuito, Angola, 25 Nov – Repairing the road that links Cuito (in Angola’s Bié province) to Menongue (Cuand Cubango province) and some roads in the centre of the city of Cuito represents and investment of US$115 million, according to Angolan news agency Angop.

The agency reported that of the amount, US$100 million would be used to rebuild a section o road between Cuito and Menongue, stretching over 114 kilometres, whilst US$15 million would be used to repair roads in the capital of Bié province.

Speakingt o Angop, the director of Portuguese construction company Manuel Couto Alves (MCA), Paulo Cruz, said that the section for which his company was responsible was due to be concluded within the deadline outlined in the contract. (macauhub)
