Angola: Brazil’s Odebrecht to conclude work on Cacuaco-Viana-Cabolombo motorway in December

Luanda, Angola, 25 Nov – Construction of the overpass of the Cacuaco-Viana-Cabolombo ring motorway, at the crossroads between the Luanda-Viana expressway has gone into its final phase, Angolan news agency Angop reported.

Work on the overpass, according to officials from Brazilian construction company Odebrecht, the company in charge of the project, is due to end in December.

Work on the road began in October 2007, as a two-part project: One that is 22 kilometres long and carried out by Brazilian company Queiroz Galvão, and another that is 33 kilometres long, which is the responsibility of Brazilian construction company Odebrecht.

The concrete overpass will be approximately 100 metres long, 44 metres wide and 8 metres high.

Located near kilometre 25, in the municipality of Viana, the project is being built to link the Cacuaco-Viana and Viana-Cabolombo (benfica) sections, as part of the construction of the ring road linking the municipalities of Cacuaco, Viana and Samba, via a 55 kilometre road. (macauhub)
