Maputo, Mozambique, 28 Nov – Chinese company China Hennan International Cooperation group (Chico) is to build a road between Chitima and Magoé, in Mozambique’s Tete province, extending over 135 kilometres, Mozambican newspaper Notícias reported.
The paper cited Jeremias Chau, a delegate of the National Roads Administration (ANE) in Tete, as saying that the project was scheduled to take 18 months.
With this road between Chitima and Magoé, Tete province will have a total of 800 kilometres of asphalted roads.
This year, Mphende, the district headquarters of Mágoè, will be linked to the national electricity grid with production from the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Dam. (macauhub)
