Luanda, Angola, 12 Dec – Angolan port construction company, A Empresa Nacional de Obras Hidráulicas e Portuárias (Hidroportos) next year plans to set up a concrete plant in the CHicala are of Luanda, to manufacture the blocks needed for costal protection of the area.
Speaking Wednesday to Angolan news agency Angop, the company’s technical director Domingos Palanca, said that the concrete plant would speed up Hidroportos’ work at that location and benefit other construction companies.
With a capacity to produce 280 cubic metres of concrete per day, the factory will occupy and area of 140 square metres and give work to ten Angolans.
Palanca noted that the goods produced at the plant would be used to manufacture 2.4-tonne blocks, needed for coastal protection work.
Hidroportos is a state company fopcused on carrying out coastal protection work, dredging and exploration of water resources. (macauhub)
