Angola: Enana invests in image and safety of airport freight terminal

19 December 2008

Luanda, Angola, 19 Dec – Angola’s Enana national airports and airspace operator will begin installation in the coming days of six check-out systems at the freight terminal of the 4th of February International Airport to boost the image and safety of the facility.

In a statement cited by state news agency Angop, Enana said the move is aimed to tackle cargo handing problems that still remain at Terminal 2 of the airport, despite new fork-lift trucks and roof coverings at the facility.

Amounts of freight arriving from overseas have increased and are causing bottlenecks in warehouses and at accesses to the terminal, which will soon begin 24-hour operation already taking place in Terminal 1 of the airport.

Enana said despite the new measures to speed up cargo handing at the airport, operators still need to collect shipments within stipulated time limits. (macauhub)
