Bissau, Guinea Bissau, 14 Jan – Portuguese group Galp Energia plans to invest around 3 million euros in Guinea Bissau this year, the oil company’s international director, Carlos Bayan Ferreira said in Bissau Tuesday.
“The Galp Energia group approved an investment plan for this year in Guinea Bissau of almost 2 billion (Guinea Bissau) francs. In 2008 we invested around 1 billion CFA francs,” Bayan Ferreira told Portuguese news agency Lusa.
Questioned about what investments would be made this year, Bayan Ferreira noted the rebuilding of the logistics system, expanding the network of petrol stations and boosting the fleet of distribution tankers.
“We want to have the same service here as we have in any other part of the world. We make no distinction and even with difficulties we want to overcome them,” said Bayan Ferreira. (macauhub)
