Angola: Scania receives order of 250 buses from Angola

Sodertalje, Sweden, 2 Feb – Swedish company Scania AB announced Friday it had received its biggest ever order from Angola to supply 250 inter-city buses.

The order was made by GTD Goods, a subsidiary of Portuguese group Espírito Santo that ahs operated in Angola since 1993 and is funding the acquisition on behalf of the end customer.

The bodies of teh buses will be built at the Scania factory in Brazil and will be prepared for delivery by Brazilian company Comil, Scania said.

The buses will be delivered in the first half of this year and the financial details of this deal have yet to be revealed.

Scania, which has its headquarters in Sodertalje, Sweden, manufactures trucks and buses as well as industrial and marine engines. (macauhub)
