Brazil: Fortaleza hosts Fifth Portuguese Language Business Meeting

Fortaleza, Brazil, 10 Feb – The Fifth Portuguese Language Business Meeting, an initiative of the Council of Portuguese Chambers of Commerce in Brazil, will take place in Fortaleza on 28 and 29 September 2009, the Council announced in a statement.

According to the statement, this meeting aims to develop the economic and business themes in the sectors of tourism, infrastructures, natural resources, agricultural business and technical innovation, and intends to attract and promote dialogue between business people and professionals, political and diplomatic authorities, representatives of class entities and financial and development institutions of Portuguese speaking countries.

With the support of business and governmental institutions from Portuguese speaking countries, the Meeting’s organizers hope to bring together around 1000 people from Brazil and abroad, from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Timor Leste, Sao Tome and Principe and Macau, as well as important communities from these countries and regions.

“The theme of business in the Portuguese language is definitely in tune with the political and economic community wants,” says the Council of Chambers, which included 11 Luso-Brazilian chambers of commerce operating in Brazil. (macauhub)
