Mozambique: World Bank grants Mozambique US$1.3 million for justice projects

Maputo, Mozambique, 13 Feb – The World Bank plans to grant the Mozambican government US$1.3 million to support the justice administration sector, Macauhub has learned in Maputo from a government source.

The source added that the Mozambican Justice Minister, Maria Benvinda Levi, would make the announcement next Monday.

The World Bank, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the European Union (EU) are, amongst others, partners of the Mozambican government in the justice sector.

The European Union and the UNDP have applied over US$11 million to the construction of infrastructures for the sector, some of which, in Maputo, such as the new Prosecutor General of the Republic, are funded by China. (macauhub)
