Sao Tome and Principe: 50 million-euro credit line approved in Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal, 26 Feb – The governments of Portugal and Sao Tome and Principe Wednesday in Lisbon approved a 50 million-euro credit line to encourage Portuguese exports to the West African country.

“Portugal and Sao Tome and Principe have signed an agreement on the creation of a credit line to the value of 50 million euros, which is aimed at funding Portuguese exports as part of projects included in the Public Investment Programme of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe,” the Portuguese Finance Ministry said in a statement.

The agreement was signed by the Portuguese finance minister, Fernando Teixeira and by Sao Tome’s Minister for Planning and Finance, Ângela Veiga.
