Angola: China-Africa relations to be analysed at Luanda conference

Luanda, Angola, 26 Feb – New China-AFrica relations, particularly with Angola, are to be analysed at a conference entitled, “China in Africa” to be held on 2 March, in Luanda, organised by the Catholic University fo Angola and the South African Institute for Internacional Affairs.

According to a statement from the Centre for Scientific Study and Research of the Angolan Catholic University (Ceic/Ucan), cited Wednesday by Angolan news agency Angop, “the conference aims to help governments, politicians, institutions, companies and civil society to become familiar with the opportunities and challenges presented by China’s growing presence on the African continent.”

The event will be organised around two panels, with the following themes: “China in Africa – Development and Challenges” and “The crossroads of Chinese-Angolan relations.” (macauhub)
