Maputo, Mozambique, 7 Apr – Mozambique should be visited by Vietnamese experts throughout this year to help the country carry out its rice production program, said Notícias newspaper, in Maputo.
The newspaper added that this agreement was made during an inter-governmental meeting that took place last week in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi at which Mozambique was represented by a delegation headed by Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister, Oldemiro Balói.
Speaking to the local press, deputy minister for Planning and Development, Victor Bernardo, said that the two countries had “many things in common,” and therefore there were lots of opportunities for strengthening their cooperation.
He also said that the proposals made by Vietnam at the meetings were consistent with the policies of the Mozambican government to relieve hunger, as well as reduce poverty in general. (macauhub)
