Bom Jesus, Angola, 9 April – The mineral water production company Purangol has invested US$25 million to increase production, said its director, Maarouf El Sahely in Bom Jesus (Bengo) Wednesday, according to Angolan news agency, Angop.

Maarouf El Sahely said that with this investment, Purangol, which produces 39,000 litres of mineral water a day, would increase its output to 120,000 litres in June and to 140,000 by the end of the year, in order to meet the demand for the product from the domestic market.

He said that Purangol currently employs 170 staff, which could increase to 300 by the end of the year, as soon as it begins production of new products, namely juices and orange flavoured water.

The company, with an area of 100,000 square metres, also expects to invest over US$25 million in expanding its facilities which should mean, according to the businessman, the employment of 200 more staff to allow it to double production by 2012. (macauhub)
