Mozambique: Indonesia’s Kalila Energi to prospect for gas in Buzi

Maputo, Mozambique, 27 April– Mozambican state oil and gas company, Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), has signed a deal with Indonesia’s Kalila Energi for gas prospecting in the Buzi block, in Sofala province, the company’s chief executive said.

Nelson Ocuane, the chief executive of ENH, said that Kalila would prospect for natural gas in the area for eight years and would drill two prospecting wells and a further two test wells.

The CEO of ENH said that the company had handed over 75 percent of its stake in the Buzi block to Kalila Energi, which also took on social and staff training responsibilities. (macauhub)
