Luanda, Angola, 27 April – The Mozambican minister for Tourism, Fernando Sumbana said Thursday in Luanda that direct flights would be launched between Luanda and Maputo by the countries’ flagship airlines, according to Angolan news agency Angop.
At the end of an audience with prime minister Paulo Kassoma, Sumbana said that the two airlines (Angola’s Taag and Mozambique’s LAM) would this year announce the calendar of direct flights between the two capitals.
The Mozambican minister said he was certain that the direct air links would encourage movement of both businesspeople and tourists from both countries.
Sumbana also made use of his visit to Luanda to call on Angolan businesspeople to invest in Mozambique. (macauhub)
