5 May 2009

Lisbon, Portugal, 5 May – Portuguese highway company Brisa said Monday in Lisbon it had acquired the 10 percent stake owned by Brazil’s CCR – Companhia de Concessões Rodoviárias in the Northwest Parkway concession, in the United States.

In a statement filed with Portuguese stock market regulator, CMVM, Brisa said it had spent US$29 million on acquiring the stake and added that following this deal it now owned 100 percent of the Northwest Parkway concession.

Brisa also said it planned to find another one or two partners that would make it possible to reduce its stake to less than 50 percent. (macauhub)
